You Are What You Eat
Growing up, the phrase "you are what you eat" was quite common. Usually, it was used to encourage people to eat a healthier diet. A diet that consisted primarily of junk food usually resulted in someone being unhealthy; on the other hand, a diet consisting primarily of fruits and vegetables usually results in a better quality of health. Whether we believe it or not, the same can be said of our walk with God.
A Change Has Got to Take Place
Often, people use the scripture that God looks at the heart as an excuse for their actions. There is no doubt that God examines the heart, but he also examines everything else as well. He examines how we dress, how we speak, and how we conduct ourselves. Let us take a look at when God told Samuel that. At that time, the Kingdom had been torn from Saul and a new king was being anointed by God. As instructed by God, Samuel went to Jesse's house and called for his sons. Upon seeing one of his sons, Samuel thought, "Surely this is the man God would have as his king.". This is when God informed him that man looks at the outer appearance, but I look at the heart. In other words, he looked good on the outside. His heart, however, was not right, making him unsuitable for the position of king.

Ecclesiastes 8:11-13
Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.
Picky Eaters
You cannot pick and choose scriptures that you want to believe and leave out the ones that you don't agree with. Are you a picky eater?
