Witchcraft in the Church: Hidden in Plain Sight Part 3

by Standing On His Word

In the beginning of this three part teaching I discussed how witchcraft affected my family on a personal level. In part 2 I showed you how I was also able to identify it online through social media. Now in part 3 we are going to talk about how they use God’s word to instill fear, manipulate and control the people of God which is also witchcraft.

Even with the blatant false prophecies in Part 2. People were even pulling the classic “Touch not mine anointed and do my prophet no harm.” If you’ve followed me for any length of time, then you already know how I feel about the misuse of that scripture. I’ve addressed it over and over again. Psalm 105, David was giving thanks to God for divine protection of Israel as a whole. No other nation could stand against them. This was God keeping His promise to Abraham. We’ve been browbeat into silence and told we can’t say anything, even when someone is clearly wrong. “Keep your mouth off that man/woman of God.” We’ve all heard these things said. “God gon’ get you.” For what, telling the truth? Since when did God start lying? This, too, is a form of witchcraft.

They even have the nerve to use David & Saul as an example. However they forget to tell you that yes Saul was anointed by God. Still Saul lost God’s favor because of his continued disobedience. The spirit of God left Saul, he could no longer hear from God. As far as David saying that he wouldn’t touch God’s anointed that meant physically harming Saul. Saul’s fate was already sealed by God, David didn’t have to lay a hand on him. Saul was not above correction, the prophet Samuel openly rebuked and corrected him multiple times. This is them using the Word of God to continue to manipulate people. Twisting the scriptures to fit their own agendas and thinking that they are above reproach.

As always I like to share my personal experiences and things that I have witnessed. These things I have mentioned before but they fit under this umbrella of spiritual manipulation and abuse. I grew up believing that we weren’t supposed to say anything. So much so even as an adult there was this visiting prophet that came to church. I had never seen the man, I had never heard of him. However when he stepped in the archway of the door, I immediately said to myself. “That man is gay”. He didn’t do anything, he wasn’t flamboyant, he was just standing there. Well later on in the service he prophesied to my sister. I knew that the things he said were right. Even some of the stuff that we were talking about that day. So again I said to myself “ well I’m going to keep my mouth off of him”. Just so happens a few months later I got a phone call and it turns out that I was right. He had been exposed to his close group of friends. I simply responded “ I already knew it, I knew the moment I saw him”. Even so because he prophesied to my sister, I pushed it out. All under the guise of not “touching God’s anointing”. I wasn’t even saved myself but still God allowed me to pick up on his spirit. We get so caught up in the gifts when these people aren’t even living right.

I’ve shared before how another prophetess told a woman that God was going to get her, her children, and her grandchildren  because she called her out. Speaking curses over someone and their family and claiming that’s God. That is not God. God doesn’t work that way. They even instill fear in people that want to leave their church. They speak death and curses over them and bind them to stay in that ministry. Even when the member says that “God told them it was time to leave”. You have the leader saying, ‘no God said it’s not time to leave’. If you leave or don’t do what they think you should do they use fear and God has not given us the spirit of fear. God is not going to hold you hostage in a church.

People love to bring up Miriam and Moses, or Elisha and the children who were eaten by a bear. Honey y'all aren’t even on the same level as  Moses or Elisha. Moses was considered to be God’s friend. God spoke to Moses face to face. Miriam wasn’t calling out Moses for sin, she was questioning his position so to speak. Those kids with Elisha were mocking him, again it had nothing to do with him sinning. What are you doing so great in the kingdom that God is going to strike someone dead over you? They talked about Jesus. They persecuted Jesus. Are you greater than Him? “God don’t play about me…” “Keep your mouth off me…”No.  If you’re wrong you’re just wrong.

In my blog entitled Falling for the Hype, I discussed a fake miracle that took place. When it was all revealed that the Elder was behind it. He stood right in the pulpit quoting those scriptures, “ touch not my anointed and rebuke not an elder”. I was sitting there thinking but you’re wrong and I wasn’t saved. Still I was saying we’re not supposed to say anything even when you created this fake miracle even then. I knew that it wasn’t right. However there were people that called him out. The Apostle of the church refused to do anything about it and half the members left the church that day. That’s not even the worst part because once I started hearing the rumors I went to the Apostle and his wife. They tried to smooth things over trying to explain it away ‘Oh he doesn’t need his wheelchair all the time sometimes he uses crutches. He can’t walk without them. I came back and told my Mom what was said and she immediately said “they’re lying”. That same night I saw the young man and he was walking without his crutches. You can read the blog if you’d like, however God showed up and exposed the Apostle and his wife right then and there. I even sent his wife the video, do you think she responded? Of course not, they tried to manipulate me. I still have the video although I don’t plan to make it public but this stuff really happened.

We’ve heard these things in church, we see it all over the comment section on social media platforms. Anytime you come against people like T. D. Jakes, Joel Osteen, Jamal Bryant those are the things that people holler. We’re called judgemental among other things. People seem to forget that God told us to call it out. We are to come against false doctrine and false prophets regardless of the title in front of someone’s name. The truth is, a lot of these people weren’t even called, and they definitely weren’t chosen. They went out on their own. Then you have those that God did choose but they fell away and are now preaching a different doctrine. There is so much that can be said about how witchcraft operates in the church because it is not always obvious. However in each part I’ve shared the different ways that I’ve seen it. There was no old lady with a big pot stirring her witch's brew. These are people that are standing in pulpits and preaching behind a camera. All while claiming to be saved and filled with the spirit of God.  I just hope that I have given you some insight and that you will go to God for yourself for a better understanding. What I will do is leave you with scripture because the Word of God speaks for itself.
